LOCATION: Istanbul, Turkey MEMBERS: Emre Altan, Ceyda Caba BIO: Established by Emre Altan & Ceyda Caba in Istanbul, 2009. Emre Altan began studying piano at the age of 8, then studied violin & contra-bass in Istanbul University Conservatoire. He studied management in Bilkent University and began working in advertising in major companies in Istanbul after school. In 2002 he quit advertising in order to do music. He met Ceyda Caba in that year Ceyda gained an education in İzmir Fine Arts fashion & accessory, experienced in different disciplines such as painting, designing, art direction & modern dancing, she has worked in music production companies. After several meetings the pair teamed up & started to do music.
Up to 2008 Ceyda went to London to study art direction, singing & voice training, acting in St Martin's College of Art & Design. Emre continued studying composing, made several tv commercial music, and studied designing loudspeakers he completed his studies and when Ceyda returned to Istanbul, they established Mr & Misfits & then prepared a funk, soul, trip hop album. Emre went to NY with several demos, had good reviews & returned to Istanbul to expand the band. Mr and Misfits worked with musicians in recording sessions such as Sarp Keskiner, Kerim Gönençer and Resat Saral. They completed the album, gave several concerts in major clubs, bars & venues such as Ghetto, Nublu, 60m2, Urban bug Lounge, Topless. In 2012, Mr & Misfits prepared 2 more albums which had good reviews also from London. FEATURED RELEASES:
